Instructions

 

 

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Using a Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of FN-001 White to the canvas. Allow to dry.
  3. With a pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper, trace on the pattern.
  4. Treetops: working from left to right. Using a Script Liner or a Dagger Brush, apply 2 coats of SC-10 Teal Next Time, SC-31 The Blues, SC-11 Blue Yonder, SC-12 Moody Blue to darken the lower section of the trees with SC-27 Sour Apple at the top of the trees. Apply SC-31 The Blues, SC-10 Teal Next Time, SC-27 Sour Apple with SC-12 Moody Blue at the top with SC-31 The Blues at the bottom. Apply SC-27 Sour Apple then SC-31 The Blues. Each color is overlapping the color next to it.
  5. Background between the tree trunks: Using a Script Liner or a Dagger Brush, apply 1 coat of SC-89 Cutie Pie Coral, SC=46 Rawhide and SC-31 The Blues. SC-16 Cotton Tail was used to lighten SC-89 Cutie Pie Coral. Refer to photo for color placement.
  6. Foreground: Use SC-12 Moody Blue and SC-31 The Blues in an uneven hill. The dark area of the foreground is SC-15 Tuxedo with some SC-27 Sour Apple and SC-Teal Next Time with a little of SC-89 Cutie Pie Coral.
  7. Using a Liner, stroke in the tree trunks with SC-15 Tuxedo. Allow to dry.
  8. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06.
