Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Using the Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of FN-001 White to the canvas.
  3. Apply a third coat of FN-001 White and while the glaze is wet, set in the desired lace, make sure the lace is laying flat without gaps, brush another thinned coat of FN-001 White over the lace. Allow to dry to the touch.
  4. Mix SC-91 Seabreeze with some of the FN-001 White Foundation to lighten, as the lace background needs to be very soft. Another way to achieve this is to use a stamp instead of lace. Brush this mixed color over the lace. Pull off the lace when the glaze losses its shine. Allow to dry.
  5. With a pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper, trace the pattern onto the canvas or sketch your own design.
  6. Pour some SC-73 Candy Apple Red into the Writer Bottle and top with the metal tip. Use the create the stems and outline the flower heads.
  7. Using the #10 Liner and the #6 Script Liner, place a puddle coat of CG-756 Firecracker into the flower heads.
  8. Using the #10 Liner, drop some SC-15 Tuxedo into the centers of the flowers.
  9. A coat of FN-001 White should be brushed over some of the background lace, to further soften the lace.
  10. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06.
