- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
Place some FN-014 Antique White into a small cup and add a little bit of water to slightly dilute it. It should be the consistency of a coffee cream. Pour this into the pitcher and roll around to completely coat the interior of the pitcher. Drain out the excess glaze and keep pitcher inverted until it has lost its shine. Wipe off any glaze from the outside using a damp sponge. Allow to dry.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-014 Antique White to the outside if the pitcher.
- Either sketch or trace the design with a No. 2 pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper onto the pitcher - the glass with the lime and mint leaves at it's base on one side of the pitcher and the single lime and mint leaves on the opposite side of the pitcher. Next, place two pairs of mint leaves on the front of the pitcher (side opposite the handle). Place one pair in the bottom left corner with the base of the leaves touching and "v"ing outward. Postion the other pair in a similar manner at the top of the pitcher where the spout meets the body of the pitcher. The leaves should point downward in a "v" formation.
- Apply a wash of SC-52 Toad-ily Green inside the glass. Pay attention to the top of the glass so that the "drink" is visible about half way up the opposite side of the glass.
- Using a RB-116 #6 Round, apply 2 coats of SC-16 Cotton Tail to the straw. Use SC-16 Cotton Tail to add some shading to the ice cubes. A dab or two on each cube will work just fine.
- Using a RB-116 #6 Round, apply 2 coats of SP-206 Speckled Sunkissed to each of the lime circles. Apply one coat of SC-39 Army Surplus to the half moon that surrounds the lime center and serves as the rind.
- Using a RB-116 #6 Round, apply 3 liberal coats of SC-26 Green Thumb to every mint leaf. Double load your brush with SC-39 Army Surplus on the last coat when you paint the mint leaves next to the limes. Allow them to dry until they are no longer shiny and then use a toothpick to etch in the viens of the leaves.
- Using the point of your round brush, apply a dot of SC-39 Army Surplus to the center of each lime. To create the lime wedges, apply 1 coat of SC-39 Army Surplus by positioning the tip of the brush just beyond the center dot. Apply pressure, expanding your brush as you pull backward. You will create a triangle. Repeat this aound each lime circle.
- Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner with SC-15 Tuxedo, outline the glass, straw and ice cubes. Make sure to dilute the glaze with water to get super thin lines.
- Using a sea or a synthetic sponge, sponge SC-52 Toad-ily Green along the rim and outer handle of the pitcher.
- Time for the recipe, which should be placed on the front of the pitcher. Make sure you check to see what exact size you need and if you want it centered, alligned left etc. If you would prefer not to use Creative Image Paper, you can "hand write" or paint the recipe on.
- Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06.
- Print the Mojitos recipe out of Creative Image Paper and follow the instructions. Allow to dry.
