CD-820
Heart Box with Wings
1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge
and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
2. Pencil in letters onto the heart.
3. Using a CB-604 apply 1 coat of thinned (for a wash) SC-31 The Blues
over the wings. Remove excess for an antiqued look. Brush the thinned
SC-31 The Blues over the some of the letters, and brush the thinned SC-5
Tiger Tail over the base and the remainder of the letters.
4. Use CB-200 detail liner to draw in letters using the different colors
for the letters: SC-39 Army Surplus, SC-31 The Blues, SC-15 Tuxedo and
SC-74 Hot Tamale.
5. Outline the boxed letters with SC-15 Tuxedo using the CB-110 liner.
6. Using CB-406 pointed round, apply your choice of clear glaze to the
wings, base and the boxes around the letters
7. Always condition your brush when using AC-302 Wax Resist. To condition
CB-406 pointed round: a. Load brush with water.b. Put brush into AC-525
Brush Cleaner and work the brush cleaner through the hairs of the brush.
Do not take the cleaner out of the brush, just wipe the excess off with
a paper towel. c.Apply AC-302 Wax Resist to the boxed letters. d. When
completed, wipe the excess product out of the brush with paper towel,
re-dip into the Brush cleaner then wash the brush with water.
8. Using the CB-604 soft fan and the CB-406 pointed round, apply three
coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale to the entire heart box. The wax will repel
the red. Remove any large beads of SC-74 Hot Tamale that remains on the
letters.
9. Using CB-604 soft fan, apply your choice of clear glaze to the inside
of the box.
10. Properly fire to shelf cone 06.
CD-821 Heart Bank
1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge
and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
2. Sponge on three coats of SC-70 Pink-A-Dot in the center area of the
heart, SC-16 Cotton Tail to one side and SC-13 Grapel to the other.
3. Always condition your brush when using AC-302 Wax Resist. To condition
RB-108 shader: a. Load brush with water.b. Put RB-108 shader into AC-525
Brush Cleaner and work the brush cleaner through the hairs of the brush.
Do not take the cleaner out of the brush, just wipe the excess off with
a paper towel.c. Using RB-108, apply the wax resist in circles across
the heart, keeping the circles tightly beside each other. d. When completed,
wipe the excess product out of the brush with paper towel, re-dip into
the brush cleaner then wash the brush with water. Allow to dry.
4. using the CB-604 soft fan, apply three coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale to
the heart. The wax will resist most of the red, but if large beads of
color are on top of the wax resist areas, remove with a wet brush.
5. Properly fire to shelf cone 06.
CD-822 Corset Wall Hook
CD-823 Corset Box
1. For the lamp, while in greenware, attach lid to corset bottom by scoring
and slipping both pieces together. Put hole in center of top for threaded
rod, cut open bottom, and drill hole for cord in back. Fire to shelf cone
04.
2. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge
and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
3. Apply three coats of S-2170 Bright Red using the CB-604 soft fan to
all pieces.
4. Using the CB-110 liner, apply one coat of SC-15 Tuxedo for all trim
and lace trim on the hook. Apply one coat of SC-15 Tuxedo to the knob
using CB-404 pointed round.
5. For the lamp, attach the AC-222 Plastic Tip and Medium Writer Tip to
the SC-15 Tuxedo bottle and make a continuous wavy line resembling puzzle
pieces over the middle section of the corset. Refer to sample.
6. For the corset box and hook, using CB-110 and SC-15 Tuxedo paint small
open flowers and leaves with circles as fillers to give a faux lace look
on the center sections of both pieces.
7. Using the CB-604 soft fan, apply your choice of clear glaze to the
inside of the box only.
8. Properly fire to shelf cone 06.
9. Rhinestones by the yard were glued to the front ribbing and narrow
black lace was hot glued to the box top.
CD-824 Cute Bunny Basket
Note: To use basket handle, drill holes in sides of basket.
1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge
and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
2. Using CB-604 soft fan, apply one coat of SC-16 Cotton Tail to the hat.
3. Always condition your brush when using AC-303 Liquid Mask. To condition
your brush: a. Load brush with water.b. Put brush into AC-525 Brush Cleaner
and work the brush cleaner through the hairs of the brush. Do not take
the cleaner out of the brush, just wipe the excess off with a paper towel.c.
Use AC-303 Liquid Mask to make small dots (approximately 3/8”) all
over the hat. d. When completed, wipe the excess product out of the brush
with paper towel, re-dip into the brush cleaner then wash the brush with
water.
4. Using CB-604 soft fan, brush two coats of thinned SC-1 Pink-A-Boo over
hat. While still wet, stroke in slightly thinned SC-17 Cheeky Pinky. Brush
back all drips.
5. Remove Liquid Mask before paint dries.
6. Using CB-406 pointed round, apply two thinned coats of SC-45 My Blue
Heaven to the hatband. Then stroke crease marks in with thinned SC-28
Blue Isle.
7. Using a CB-604 soft fan, apply two coats of C-101 Blu-White Clear to
hat and inside of bunny basket.
8. Properly fire to shelf cone 06.
9. Using AB-834 base coat brush, apply 1 coat of thinned SS-135 White
to the bunny face and ears. Brush thinned SS-108 Light Gray over the white
to antique.
10. Using AB-708 round, drybrush and stipple two coats of SS-135 White
over the Light Gray.
11. Using BG-WV1/0 flat wave, apply 1 coat of thinned SS-32 Razzberri
to the ears. Using the same brush, apply thinned SS-104 Royal Plum into
the shadow areas, under hat, eyes around muzzle and nose. Thin SS-314
Teal and brush in the shadow areas also, overlapping some of the Royal
Plum. Use the Teal to float around ears and to brush in the shadow areas
of the ears. Streak some very thin Royal Plum on the cheeks, again using
the wave brush.
12. Apply thinned SS-151 Rich Rose to the nose and for the outline of
the mouth using the CB-110 liner. Streak inside of the ears with SS-32
Razzberri.
13. It may be necessary to stipple white back over to highlight ears,
muzzle and between eyes. This will give it more depth and soften the floated
colors.
14. Using CB-200 detail liner, paint whiskers in with SS-138 Flat Black
mixed with a little SS-314 Teal. Eyes are first painted with SS-135 White.
Then iris is painted with thinned SS-314 Teal and pupil with SS-138 Flat
Black, use CB-200 detail.
15. Attach handle to holes in sides of basket.
CD-826 Flip Flop Wall Hooks

CD-819 Hooks
1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge
and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
2. Pencil on designs using AC-230 Clay Carbon.
3. Make the large dots on small sandals with BG-FNT/6 Fountain brush,
use SC-73 Candy Apple Red for one shoe and SC-50 Orange Ya Happy for the
other, applying two coats. To make the dot, just load brush with color,
press, twist and lift.
4. To make the stripe on the strap, use BG-WT1/2 Whales tail for the large
sandal and BG-WT1/4 Whales Tail for the small sandals. Load brush with
SC-8 Just Froggy, press and pull half the stripe, begin at the other end
with a press and pull stroke. This will create the notched edge at both
ends.
5. Use BG-FNT/6 fountain to make the petals for the large flowers on the
large sandal. The petals will need two coats of SC-73 Candy Apple Red,
with two coats of SC-23 Jack O’Lantern for the accents.
6. Thin SC-70 Pink-A-Dot, SC-5 Tiger Tail, SC-7 Leapin’ Lizard to
a wash, use CB-604 soft fan to float these colors onto the background
and the straps of the flip-flops.
7. Make perforated lines on all sandals as shown with SC-8 Just Froggy
using CB-110 liner.
8. Using CB-604 soft fan, apply three coats of SC-23 Jack O’Lantern
to the sides of the large and one of the small sandals. Apply three coats
of SC-74 Candy Apple Red to the remaining small sandal.
9. Outline dots, and accent perforated lines and stripes with SC-15 Tuxedo
using CB-110 liner.
10. Using a brushing or dipping technique, apply your choice of clear
glaze to piece.
11. Properly fire to shelf cone 06.
CD-827 Large Flip Flop
1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge
and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
2. Pencil on flower and leaf design.
3. Mix 1:1 of SC-16 Cotton Tail and slip in AC-222 Plastic bottle and
attach plastic and Medium Writer Tip. Trace around flowers, and leaves.
Allow to dry.
4. Using CB-404 pointed round, apply two coats of SC-6 Sunkissed on flower
petals. For the third coat load brush with SC-6 Sunkissed and tip with
SC-5 Tiger Tail to darken edges of petals.
5. For centers of flowers, use CB-404 pointed round and brush on two coats
of SC-11 Blue Yonder. Darken one side of the center with SC-31 The Blues.
6. For the leaves, apply two coats of SP-227 Speckled Sour Apple. For
the third coat, sideload CB-404 pointed round with SC-8 Just Froggy and
darken bottom edge of leaves. Using CB-110 liner, line veins and stem
with SC-8 Just Froggy.
7. Use BGWA1/2 angle wave to brush SP-227 Speckled Sour Apple around flowers
and leaves, as a background. Use the same brush to apply SC-12 Moody Blue
over the Speckled Sour Apple. The Moody Blue will need to be thinned slightly.
8. Use BG-WT1/2 Whales Tail with SC-8 Just Froggy to brush stroke tall
grass on the side of the flip-flop. Skip a space with the strokes so you
can fill in with a stroke of SP-227 Speckled Sour Apple, keep a little
SC-8 Just Froggy in the brush for variation. To create these brushstrokes
just press and pull.
9. Use BG-WT1/2 Whales Tail to make small butterflies on the strap. Use
SC-8 Just Froggy slightly thinned, press brush and lift, then turn brush
to repeat on the other side for the lower wings. Repeat to fill in straps.
Use CB-110 liner and SC-15 Tuxedo to stroke in body and antenna.
10. Using a brushing or dipping technique, apply your choice of clear
glaze to piece.
11. Properly fire to shelf cone 06.
CD-828 Purse Bank
1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge
and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
2. Apply two coats of SC-16 Cotton Tail to the purse and strap using CB-604
soft fan.
3. Always condition your brush when using AC-303 Liquid Mask. To condition
CB-220 detail liner: a. Load brush with water. b. Put CB-220 detail liner
into AC-525 Brush Cleaner and work the brush cleaner through the hairs
of the brush. Do not take the cleaner out of the brush, just wipe the
excess off with a paper towel. c. Apply small dots of AC-303 Liquid Mask
to the purse inside and out. d. When completed, wipe the excess product
out of the brush with paper towel, re-dip into the Brush cleaner then
wash the brush with water.
4. Add water to a CB-604 soft fan brush to slightly thin SC-45 My Blue
Heaven and apply two coats to the outside of the purse. Do not allow glaze
to dry between coats. Then add thinned SC-10 Teal Next Time in a few brushstrokes
to the wet SC-45 My Blue Heaven.
5. Remove Liquid Mask before glaze dries.
6. Using CB-604 soft fan, brush open section of purse with two thinned
coats of SC-1 Pink-A-Boo; remove liquid mask before paint dries.
7. Pencil in initial. Using CB-110 liner, apply thinned SC-10 Teal Next
Time to the letter.
8. Using a brushing or dipping technique, apply your choice of clear glaze
to piece.
9. Properly fire to shelf cone 06.
10. Apply OV-2 White Gold with CB-220 detail liner to the opening and
hardware of purse. Clean brush with OV-6 Essence.
11. Properly fire to shelf cone 018.
CD-829 Purse Box
1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge
and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
2. Using the CB-604 soft fan, apply one thinned coat of SC-14 Java Bean
over the body of the purse. This gives the flowers and the leaves a distressed
look.
3. Draw on flowers and leaves using a pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon.
4. Apply three coats of SC-42 Butter Me Up over the flowers using CB-406
pointed round. Apply three coats of SC-26 Green Thumb over the leaves
with the same brush.
5. Using the CB-404 pointed round, apply two coats of SC-5 Tiger Tail
to the centers of flowers.
6. Scatter dots of SC-74 Hot Tamale between the flowers and the leaves
using CB-404 pointed round. Apply two coats on each dot.
7. Thin SC-5 Tiger Tail and brush two coats over zipper, handles and trim
at bottom using CB-604 soft fan.
8. Use CB-404 pointed round to brush on three coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale
over trim around zipper.
9. Always condition your brush when using AC-302 Wax Resist. To condition
CB-404 pointed round: a. Load brush with water. b. Put CB-404 pointed
round into AC-525 Brush Cleaner and work the brush cleaner through the
hairs of the brush. Do not take the cleaner out of the brush, just wipe
the excess off with a paper towel. c. Apply the AC-302 Wax Resist to the
flowers, leaves and red dots. This will make it easier to brush on the
dark background color.
d. When completed, wipe the excess product out of the brush with paper
towel, re-dip into the Brush cleaner then wash the brush with water.
10. Use either CB-404 or CB-406 pointed round to brush on 2-3 coats of
slightly thinned SC-34 Down To Earth on background around flowers and
leaves.
11. The wax will repel most of the brown, some of the beaded brown is
desirable, but remove any large beads of paint, as they will remain after
firing. Be careful painting around areas that are not resisted with wax.
12. Using a brushing or dipping technique, apply your choice of clear
glaze to piece.
13. Properly fire to shelf cone 06.
14. Apply OV-1 bright gold to the purse hardware using CB-200 Detail liner.
Clean brush with OV-6 Essence.
15. Properly fire to shelf cone 018.
CD-830 Shirt Picture Frame
1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge
and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
2. Pencil in design. Using CB-220 detail liner, apply two coats of SC-6
Sunkissed with SC-24 Dandelion for the flower centers on the Hawaiian
lei.
3. For the large orange flowers, use BG-WF/10 Filbert with a press and
lift stroke toward the center. Apply two coats of SC-50 Orange ya Happy
with SC-24 Dandelion for the centers.
4. Thin SC-11 Blue Yonder like water and apply to the shirt using the
CB-604 soft fan, avoiding the already painted flowers.
5. Using CB-110 liner, outline and dot around centers with SC-15 Tuxedo.
6. Using a brushing or dipping technique, apply your choice of clear glaze
to piece.
7. Properly fire to shelf cone 06.
8. Glue the Photo Holder, #PHL3, available at Lamp Specialties, to back
for the picture.
CD-832 Girl Mirror Frame
1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge
and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
2. Using the CB-312 flat shader, apply 1 coat of thinned SS-254 Golden
Ochre to the hair.
3. Brush SS-25 Mississippi Mud, thinned like water, over hair to antique
using the same brush.
4. Using AB-708 round to drybrush hair, apply first coat with SS-254 Golden
Ochre, then lighten with 2 coats of SS-223 Light Yellow Orange. Create
hightlights with SS-2 Lemon Meringue.
5. For the collar and headband, thin SS-32 Razzberri and apply with CB-312
flat shader.
6. Add a little SS-135 White to the Razzberri and using AB-705 round,
stipple collar and headband.
7. Load BG-FNT/4 fountain brush, half with SS-135 White and half with
SS-104 Royal Plum. Press lightly and twist then lift to form dots on collar.
Try brushstroke first on paper.
8. Gloss seal headband with AC-501 Gloss Sealer.
9. Use white glue to glue in the 7” round mirror. Mirror is available
at Lamp Specialties, Part #OMR7.
