Spook Candy Bowl
CD-905 Accessory Feet
1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge
and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
2. Brush on two coats of SC-6 Sunkissed to the inside of the ghost using
CB-604 soft fan.
3. Thin SC-60 Silver Lining and brush on the outside of the ghost, remove
excess with a damp sponge.
4. Brush on two coats of SC-6 Sunkissed to the eyes and SC-15 Tuxedo to
the pupil, outline with SC-15 using CB-110 liner.
5. Using a CB-604 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of C-101 Blu White Clear or
S-2101 Natural Clear glaze
6. Fire to shelf cone 06.
CD-907 Pumpkin Candy Bowl
1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge
and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
2. With CB-604 Soft Fan brush on two coats of SC-16 Sunkissed, using water
in your brush, to the inside of the pumpkin.
3. Using the CB-604 soft fan brush with SC-75 Orange-A-Peel, brush to
the outside of the pumpkin, stroking in some SC-24 Dandelion for shading
into the wet color. Add SC-73 Candy Apple Red to the brush to stroke over
the cheeks, while the color is wet, two coats.
4. Brush SC-52 Toad-ily Green to the middle of the leaf adding SC-26 Green
Thumb to the brush to blend, and SC-36 Irish Luck to edge the leaf. Use
CB-406 pointed round and apply two coats.
5. Stem is painted with two coats of SC-14 Java Bean using CB-406 pointed
round. Use SC-14 Java Bean with CB-110 liner to outline the creases in
the pumpkin.
6. For the pumpkin with eyes, remove any orange paint from the eyes, then
apply two coats of SC-16 Cotton Tail and two coats of SC-31 The Blues
for the iris, swipe in some SC-52 Toad-ily Green into the iris and SC-15
Tuxedo for the pupil.
7. Using a CB-604 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of C-101 Blu White Clear or
S-2101 Natural Clear glaze.
8. Fire to shelf cone 06.
CD-908 Bat Candy Dish
1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge
and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
2. For the yellow dish, apply three coats of SC-6 Sunkissed to the inside
of the dish, for the orange dish, apply three coats of SC-75 Orange-A-Peel
to the inside using CB-604 soft fan.
3. Trace on 1-inch circles using a template to the inside of the dish.
4. Brush on two heavy coats of SC-16 CottonTail using the CB-404 pointed
round.
5 Draw on the iris circle and brush with SC-31 The Blues for the blue
eyes and SC-26 Green Thumb for the green eyes, using CB-404 pointed round.
6 Using CB-110 liner paint in squiggle lines for the blood shot eyes with
SC-74 Hot Tamale.
7 Use SC-15 Tuxedo for the pupils and to outline the eyes, using CB-202
detail liner and the CB-110 liner.
8 Brush on two coats of SC-15 Tuxedo to the outside of the dish with CB-604
soft fan.
9. Using a CB-604 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of C-101 Blu White Clear or
S-2101 Natural Clear glaze.
10. Fire to shelf cone 06.
CD-909 Snowman Candy Bowl
CD-910 Boots for CD-910
1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge
and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
2. Using CB-310 Flat Shader, float SC-76 Cara-bein Blue around all the
body parts of the snowman, use the CB-604 soft fan with thinned SC-76
Cara-bein Blue to brush on color on the body of the snowman, remove excess
with a wet brush. Brush on thinned SC-60 Silver Lining to the scarf and
remove excess to antique.
3 Brush on three coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale to the mittens and hatband-using
CB-404 pointed round. Brush on two coats of Hot Tamale to the stripe in
the scarf using CB-202 detail liner.
4 Brush on two coats of SC-26 Green Thumb to the holly using CB-202 detail
liner, two coats of SC-75 Orange-A-Peel to the nose using same brush.
5 Dot scarf and mittens with SC-26 Green Thumb, dot a SC-16 Cotton Tail
dot over the green dot on the mittens.
6 Brush on two coats of SC-15 Tuxedo on the hat, buttons and the boots
use CB-404 pointed round.
7 Eyes are first painted with SC-16 Cotton Tail then with SC-31 The Blues
for the iris and SC-15 Tuxedo for the Pupil.
8 Using a CB-604 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of C-101 Blu White Clear or S-2101
Natural Clear glaze.
9 Fire to shelf cone 06.
Slump & Humps
CD-775 Triangle
1. Roll out _ inch clay, cut shape to approx. fit the triangle slump.
Press into the slump mold, press clay to fit form. trim off excess so
it is flush with the top of the mold, with a clay needle tool.
2. Roll clay thinner than the _ inch and cut a 1-1/2 inch wide strip approx.
4 _ inch long, this is the center branches, slip attach to the center
area of the triangle slump (trim off excess), cut four scallops in the
bottom of the strip. Cut another small section for the top branches of
the tree and repeat the same as the center section. While clay is wet
press you thumb in each scallop tree section for an added deminaton.
3. Cut out a star for the top and a rectangle piece for the trunk and
slip attach to the tree.
4. Allow to dry!
5. Bisque fire to shelf cone 04.
6. Brush on three coats of SC-26 Green Thumb with CB-604 soft fan to the
tree. Shade underside of the branches with SC-36 Irish Luck using CB-404
pointed round.
7. Brush on two coats of SC-24 Dandelion to the star and two coats of
SC-14 Java Bean to the trunk.
8. Dot edges of tree branches with SC-74 Hot Tamale using the handle end
of a brush.
9. Using a CB-604 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of C-101 Blu White Clear or
S-2101 Natural Clear glaze.
10. Fire to shelf cone 06.
CD-776 Circle
1. Roll out clay to _ inch thick and place piece into the circle slump
mold, press till the clay piece fits to fill the form. Trim off the excess
clay flush with the top of the mold; use a clay needle tool to make it
easy.
2. Roll out a piece of clay about 1/8 inch thick and cut six 1-1/4inch
circles, slip attach to the inside of the bowl.
3. Make an ornament cap from a 1/4inch thick piece of clay, slip attach
to edge of ornament. Make groves close together by pressing the needle
tool on its side to the ornament cap for detail.
4. Allow to dry!
5. Bisque fire to shelf cone 04.
6. Use CB-604 soft fan brush on SC-26 Green Thumb around circles following
the shape of the circle, two coats. Float SC-36 Irish Luck around each
circle with CB-310 flat shadier.
7. Brush on underside of bulb with SC-26 Green Thumb using the CB-604
soft fan in a circular direction, two coats.
8. Brush on three coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale to the circle detail on the
bulbs.
9. Using a CB-604 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of C-101 Blu White Clear or
S-2101 Natural Clear glaze.
10. Fire to shelf cone 06.
11. Apply fired gold to the ornament cap and brush on dots of gold onto
the red circles use CB-202 detail liner.
12. Fire to shelf cone 018.
