What are Dazzling Metallics?
Dazzling Metallics are non-fired water based colors that can be used for solid coverage or detailing. They are applied directly to bisque or over any of the Softees Acrylic Stains.
How do I apply Dazzling Metallics?
For smooth coverage, two lighter coats are better than one heavy coat.
Either a synthetic or natural hair brush can be used for application.
Dazzling Metallics can be intermixed with any water-based product for
interesting effects. The appearance of different metals can be simulated
using one of the metallics antiqued with a translucent stain. Do not use
a brush that has been used to apply a Dazzling Metallic to apply a glaze.
Any metallic particles left in the bristles can cause a discoloration
in the glaze surface.
Can I seal a Dazzling Metallics piece with Porcelain Mist?
Porcelain Mist Spray Sealer is not recommended as a final sealer for the
metallics, as it will dull the surface.
Should I fire Dazzling Metallics?
No. Do not fire.
