Instructions

  1. Begin by creating the crumbles. These will need to dry overnight. Pour these 5 colors from the jar onto a plastic or paper plate and allow to dry into hardened crumbles: SC070 pink-a-dot, SC006 Sunkissed, SC075 Orange-A-Peel, SC098 Slime time, SC011 Blue Yonder.
  2. Wipe down the bisque with a damp sponge to remove any dirt/dust.
  3. Crush up the dried color so it resembles colorful aquarium rocks.
  4. Prepare the bubble solution with roughly 1 part soap, 1 part color, 2 parts water.
  5. Using a straw, blow bubbles into the solution and allow the bubbles to spill over onto the plate. Use the straw to manipulate the bubbles into specific positions if needed. Allow the bubbles to pop naturally.
  6. Apply 2 coats of SC020 Cashew Later to the bottom ¼ of the plate.
  7. While the 2nd coat is still wet, sprinkle in the dry chips of color.
  8. Using the fan brush and script liner brush, create aquarium plants off to one side of the plate. Use SC098 Slime time, or pick a different color to mimic the look of vibrant plastic plant décor.
  9. Design a fish of your choice off to the side of the plants.
  10. Outline the plants, fish, and gravel section in SC015 Tuxedo with the mini liner brush.
  11. Apply a brushing clear glaze to the face and back of the plate, avoiding the gravel section.
  12. Allow to dry, stilt, and fire to cone 06.
