While Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are valuable tools for workplace hazard communication programs, they are often more confusing than useful for consumer use. Still, consumers still require the type of information that is found in an SDS. The Consumer Product Information Sheet (CPIS) is intended to fulfill that need. The Consumer Product Information Sheet will include information related to Product use instructions, Cleanup & disposal, Hazards and safe handling, First Aid measures, ACMI seal, Food contact use, Substances of concern, such as nuts, latex and gluten.
Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are detailed information bulletins prepared by Mayco that describes the physical and chemical properties, physical and health hazards, routes of exposure, precautions for safe handling and use, emergency and first-aid procedures, and control measures.
