Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust. Do not oversaturate the bisque with water.
  2. With a #4 Soft Fan Brush (RB144) apply a 3 coats of the following underglaze colors into each separate segment of the cactus.
    1. UG046 Bright Yellow UG090 Green Mist, UG227 Concord Grape, UG091 True Teal, UG206 Fire Engine Red, UG087 Regal Purple, UG097 Bright Blue, UG209 Jade, UG223 Apricot, UG019 Electric Blue
  3. Glaze the base of the cactus with UG090 Sand using a #4 Soft Fan Brush (RB144).
  4. Bisque Cactus to cone 04.
  5. With a #4 Soft Fan Brush (RB144) apply 4-5 coats of the SW440 White Bead to the entire cactus, alternating the direction of each coat.
  6. Wipe the excess glaze off the bottom of the piece.
  7. Do not stilt. Fire to cone 6
