Instructions

  1. Start with a 6 x 6 bisque tile. Wipe the surface gently with a damp sponge to remove any dust.
  2. Using a brush, apply 1 coat of Stroke & Coat Cotton Tail (SC016) to the entire tile.
  3. In a small cup, mix the bubble glaze solution:
    1. 1 tablespoon water
    2. 1 tablespoon Stroke & Coat Blue Yonder (SC011)
    3. 2 drops dish detergent
  4. Stir the mixture gently.
  5. Place a straw into the cup and blow through the straw to create bubbles. Let the bubbles rise and spill over onto the tile.
  6. Continue adding bubbles until most or all of the tile is covered. A mix of small foamy bubbles and larger airy bubbles creates an especially interesting effect.
  7. Allow the bubbles to pop, and once the bubble layer begins to lose its shine, move on to the next step.
  8. Apply Stroke & Coat Tuxedo (SC015) to the rubber fish or turtle stamp using a sponge.
  9. Press the stamp onto the tile to create a school of fish, with or without turtles.
  10. Let the tile dry completely.
  11. Fire to cone 06.
