Description
Stoneware matte glazes range from solid shades to those that create interesting color variations as they move and break. Application thinkness is the key to making mattes work for you.
Cone 6: Matte MaycoShino offers some of the charm and intrigue found in high fire shinos. Lighter coatings produce
a yellow-brown ochre; subsequent coats build an opaque beige layer, muting the brown but not completely masking it. A matte surface is produced
at 1, 2 and 3 coats.
Cone 10: Variegation darkens to cream/brown
TIP: Thin applications produce satin textured rust tones. Thick applications will increase opacity and creamy hues.
