Embossed Snowman Plate

1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
2. Place Some EZ031 Light Blue on a glazed tile, thin with some AS957 Thin N’ Shade, mix well.
3. Using a CB604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 1 coat over all the detail of the plate. Allow too slightly dry.
4. Using a damp sponge, wipe back the EZ031 Light Blue from the detail on the plate leaving the color in the cervices.
5. Place some of each of the following EZ Strokes on a glazed tile: EZ013 White; EZ031 Light Blue: EZ112 Lilac.
6. Condition a Silk Sponge by getting it wet then squeeze out the excess water. Next, roll the silk sponge in a paper towel to remove any remaining water.
7. Using the silk sponge pick up some of the EZ031 Light Blue and sponge the background/ sky area. Then with some EZ011 Lilac and finally EZ013 White. While sponging make sure to turn the sponge so you do not create a pattern with the sponge. Also, make sure you do not puddle any color around any of the raise design esp. the holly leaves. Allow to dry!

1. Using the dry brushes, drybrush the snow areas and the road with EZ013 White. WB – snowman body with EZ013 White.
2. DB the snowman scarf, hat band and bird with EZ075 Passion Red. DB the scarf with stripes of EZ013 White.
3. DB the snowman hat with EZ018 Chartreuse. DB snowman glove and earmuff with EZ111 Juniper Green. DB snowman nose EZ026 Yellow Orange. BB snowman twig arm and fence with EZ010 French Brown. DB the snowman cheek with EZ030 Rose.
4. Using the AN709 3/8 Angular Shader, Shade the snowman body with EZ027 Blue Turquoise.
5. WB the house, dormer windows, candle, behind the flame and snowman hat patch with EZ107 Butter. DB the house chimney, door trim with EZ055 Brick. WB the door EZ075 Passion Red. WB the smoke from Chimney with EZ047 Thundercloud Grey and EZ012 Cobalt Jet Black.
6. WB the deer with EZ011 Sienna Brown; HL ears, tail, belly with EZ013 White. WB the bunny with EZ047 Thundercloud Grey; HL the tail, ears, feet, chest with EZ013 White.
7. DB trees with EZ033 Ivy Green. WB the holly leaves with 2 coats of EZ018 Chartreuse; Shade with EZ028 Leaf Green; WB stems with EZ033 Ivy Green. WB the holly berries with EZ075 Passion Red 2 coats.
8. WB the lamppost, snowman buttons with EZ012 Cobalt Jet Black.
9. Using a CB110 #10 Liner, detail the snowman eyes and the bird with EZ012 Cobalt Jet Black.
10. Using a CB404 #4 Pointed Round and a CB202 #2 Detail liner, add SG302 Snowfall to the snow areas including the top of the lantern and house roof. Allow to dry.
11. Using a CB604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of S2101 Crystal Clear Brushing to the top side of the plate. Allow to dry!
12. Using a CB604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN006 Blue to the back of the plate. Allow to dry!
13. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06.
