Divide the stacked rocks into color sections, using Sapphire, Capri Blue, and Norse Blue so each individual rock is a single color.
Using a #4 fan brush, apply 2 coats of your chosen base glaze to each rock, allowing each coat to dry before applying the next.
Once the base glazes are dry, apply 1 generous coat of SW214 Micro Pearl in a band around the top 1 inch of every rock. Allow the Micro Pearl to dry completely.
Apply 2 coats of SW227 Tidal Wave over the Micro Pearl band. Paint the Tidal Wave with an irregular, organic edge, extending slightly beyond the Micro Pearl to create the look of frosting dripping over the edge of a doughnut. Allow each coat to dry before applying the next.
Wipe off any excess glaze from the foot of your piece. Do not stilt. Fire to Cone 6 according to your kiln manufacturer’s firing schedule.
