Jessica Putnam-Phillips Silkscreen Book Vase

Instructions

Begin by wiping down the bisque with a damp sponge to remove any dirt/dust.
Mix one ounce of SC076 Cara-Bein Blue with a pinch of AC310 Silkscreen Medium using a pallet knife and set aside to let thicken up.
Individually mix a half ounce of SC030 Blue Dawn, SC031 The Blues, and SC011 Blue Yonder in a 1 to 1 ratio with water.
Using the script liner brush, apply random blobs of watered down color to the front and back of the book vase and allow to dry.
Once the water color effect has dried, place the large flower bouquet from the Bellfleur silkscreen shiny side down on the cover of the vase.
Using your finger, apply the silkscreen medium and SC076 Cara-bean Blue mixture from step 2 to the silkscreen with light pressure in a circular motion. Remove the screen immediately.
Repeat step 6 to the back of the book vase.
Apply three coats of regular, unmixed SC076 Cara-bean Blue to the spine of the book with the soft fan brush.
Using the fan brush, apply three coats of SP286 Speckled Old Lace to the pages of the book vase.
Use the FD258 Pure White French Dimensions to create dots all over the spine of the book and designs on the corners of the book covers.
Apply two coats of S2101 Crystal Clear Brushing to the inside of the vase.
Allow to dry, stilt, and fire to cone 06.
