Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust. 
  2. Place the Clay Carbon transfer paper in the middle of the platter, rough side down, and place the lobster pattern on top. Trace the pattern of the lobster with a pencil, then remove the pattern and transfer paper.  
  3. Apply 3 coats of SC073 Candy Apply Red to the main body, claws, the large areas on the tail, and every other part on the smaller arms. Apply with an AB704 Round Brush. 
  4. Apply 3 coats of SC075 Orange-A-Peel on the top of the head, antennae, and every other part of the lobster that does not have SC073 Candy Apply Red. 
  5. Outline the SC073 Candy Apple Red areas with SG410 Bright Blue Designer Liner. Add dots of SG410 Bright Blue Designer Liner on top of the SC073 Candy Apply Red.  
  6. Outline the SC075 Orange-A-Peel areas with SG407 Yellow Designer Liner. Add dots of SG407 Yellow Designer Liner on top of the SC075 Orange A Peel.  
  7. With a pencil draw a scalloped edge around the border of the platter. Apply 3 coats of SC091 Seabreeze to the scalloped edge and to the back of the platter.  
  8. Dip into NTCLR Clear One Dipping Glaze.
  9. Stilt and fire to cone 06.
