Melt Gloop and Flower Rainbow Latte Mug

1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.  
2. Using a RB-144 #4 Soft Fan Brush apply two coats of SW508 Black Gloss to the inside of your mug and the handle. 
3. Fill Applicator bottles with each color of Melt Gloop (6 bottles total). 
4. On the first side of your mug create a flower dot design. 
5. Use SW423 Slime Green Melt Gloop to create the stem and leaf. 
6. Use SW421 to create the flower petals. 
7. Use SW425 to create the pistil/inside of the flower. 
8. On the second side of your mug you will create lines of dots to mimic a rainbow. 
9. Create lines of dots with one color at a time starting from the inside of the rainbow and following the below color pattern: 
   1. SW425 Black Melt Gloop (Inner most arch) 
   2. SW424 Blue Melt Gloop 
   3. SW423 Slime Green Melt Gloop 
   4. SW422 Hot Pink Melt Gloop 
   5. SW421 Yellow Melt Gloop 
   6. SW420 White Melt Gloop (Outer most arch) 
10. Fire to cone 6. 

Additional Adaptations & Tips  

• Keep in mind that if your dots become too large they can tend to run down your piece. Try to keep dots roughly pea sized or smaller to ensure they stay in the same place after firing.  
• If your dots are placed too closely together they may melt into each other during the firing.
