Instructions

  1. 1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. **Optional – Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan Brush, apply 2 coats of EG005 Black Engobe to your bisque.
  3. Pour some SW231 Lilac speck and SW232 Baby Blue Speck into separate 2 oz containers for brushing.
  4. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan Brush apply a thick coat of SW231 Lilac Speck to the top ½ of your piece.
  5. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan Brush apply a thick coat of SW232 Baby Blue Speck to the bottom ½ of your piece.
  6. Using the same CB-604 #4 Soft Fan Brush Blend the middle where the Lilac Speck and Baby Blue Speck Meet to create an ombre effect.
  7. Repeat steps #4 – #6 8. Once dry, fill a AC-220 Detailer Tips & Bottle with SW408 White Flux
  8. Place your piece on a banding wheel and trail on the SW408 White Flux in a spiral pattern starting from the top of the form all the way to the foot.
  9. Wipe bottom edge of piece with a damp sponge to prevent piece from sticking to the shelf during firing.
  10. Fire to cone 6.
