Peacock Stoneware Bowl

  1. Begin with soft-fired stoneware bisque. 
  2. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  3. Mark the bowl to divide the bowl into even sections. 
  4. Apply 2 coats of SW196 Sand Dollar in “V”s. Using the mapped sections to evenly place them. 
  5. Use a squeeze bottle to apply 2 coats of SW100 Blue Surf as a line on top of the brushed design (we placed ours centered in the middle of the brush stroke). 
  6. Apply 3 coats of SW130 Copper Jade to the inside and outside of the bowl, avoiding the foot. 
  7. Use a clean sponge to wipe any excess glaze off the foot.  
  8. Fire to cone 5/6. (sample was fired to cone 6)
