Snowflake Silkscreen Splatter Plate

Instructions

Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
Apply 3 coats of SC060 Silver Lining to the front of the plate. Apply with a RB144 Soft Fan.
Apply 3 coats of SP212 Speckled Moody Blue to the rim and back of the plate. Apply with a RB144 Soft Fan.
Cut out all the snowflakes from the silkscreens and place them smooth side down randomly on the top of the plate.
Thicken SC045 My Blue Heaven with AC310 Silkscreen Medium, use a palette knife and mix to the consistency of peanut butter. Rub the thicken glaze over the screen with your finger. Gently remove the silkscreen.
1. Repeat step 5 with SC065 Peri Twinkle.
2. Gently clean the glaze off the silkscreen with water and let them dry.
Once both the plate and snowflakes are dry repeat step 5 with SC031 The Blues and SC058 501 Blues, the snowflakes will overlap the SC045 My Blue Heaven and SC065 Peri Twinkle snowflakes.
Fill in the SC031 The Blues and SC058 501 Blues snowflakes with SC037 Ivory Tower, apply 3 coats with an AB704 Round Brush.
Finally dip your toothbrush into SC058 501 Blues and slide your thumb between the bristles to spatter the top of the plate.
Allow to dry then fire to cone 06.
