- Cast the molds, Clean the greenware or begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Using a CB604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of UG051 China White to the entire Standing and Desk Goose either greenware or bisque. Allow to dry!
- Bisque fire to shelf cone 04.
- Using a CB604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 1 coat of SC090 Elephant Ears to the wings and tail of the Standing and Desk Goose.
- With a damp Synthetic Sponge, wipe back the color leaving it in the crevices of the wing and tail. Allow to dry!
- If needed, reinforce the SC090 Elephant Ears in the crevices if to much was wiped out.
- Using a CB106 #6 Script Liner and a CB604 #4 Soft Fan, Apply 2 coats of SC024 Dandelion to the feet and beak of the Standing and Desk Goose. Allow to dry!
- Using a CB106 #6 Script Liner and a CB604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of SC097 Cant-elope to the feet and beak of the Standing and Desk Goose. Allow to dry!
- Shade the beak and feet with SC090 Elephant Ears.
- Using a Pencil, sketch the apron on the Standing Goose only, and create a trim edge to the apron.
- Using a CB106 #6 Script Liner, apply 3 coats of SC008 Just Froggy to the trim of the apron. Allow to dry.
- Using FD258 Pure White French Dimensions, outline and add scallops and dots in the trim over the SC008 Just Froggy. Allow to dry!
- Using a CB202 #2 Detail Liner and a CB110 #10/0 Liner, paint eyes with SC015 Tuxedo, SC011 Blue Yonder and SC16 Cotton Tail. Allow to dry!
- Using a CB106 #6 Script Liner and a CB604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of CG1015 Cloverfield to the apron. Allow to dry!
- Using a CB604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of S2101 Crystal Clear Brushing glaze to the Standing Goose except the apron and to the Desk Goose. Allow to dry!
- Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06.
Additional Adaptations & Tips
- Make sure to shake all products to mix well.
- Stir the crystal in the bottom of the Jungle Gems to loosen them up and then Shake well.
- Place the Jungle Gems on a plate and using a CB604 #4 Soft Fan to apply to the piece. This helps to apply the color evenly since the crystals float to the bottom of the jar.
- French Dimensions are a raised dimensional glaze product.
- Applying UG051 China White to the surface of the piece will make sure that you have a white surface to work with if your body is not white.
