Asteroid Curvy Gloop Stoneware Vase

1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust. 
2. With a #4 Soft Fan Brush (RB144) apply 2 coats of EG 005 Black Engobe to the bottom 2/3rds of the vase, including the bottom.  
3. Apply 2 coats of CG1016 Asteroid to top 1/3rd of the vase and to the entire inside using a #4 Soft Fan Brush. 
4. Using a detail bottle or small syringe, apply SW425 Black Melt Gloop to the bottom of the vase and SW420 White Melt Gloop to the middle of the vase. 

Additional Adaptations & Tips  

1. You do not need to wipe off engobe from the bottom of the piece. Engobe does not stick to the kiln shelf 
2. You do not need to stilt this piece, but the piece may be placed on a cookie or piece of soft brick,  in case Gloop runs. 
3. Fire to cone 6
