Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust. 
  2. Pour SG102 Rapid Roll Black into the vase. Roll the vase to make sure you get every spot on the inside then dump what’s left.  
  3. Apply 3 coats of FN061 Ivory Speck to the outside of the vase with a RB144 Soft Fan. 
  4. Apply both butterfly patterns onto your vase using AC230 Clay Carbon Transfer Paper. Trace with a pencil or pen.  
    1. Repeat step 4 for a total of 4 butterflies.  
  5. Outline all butterflies with one coat of FD254 Black Licorice. 
  6. On 2 of the butterflies fill in most of the gaps by applying 2 to 3 coats of S2729 Citrus Splash with an AB704 Round Brush.  
    1. Repeat step 6 with SC097 Cantelope. 
  7. On the other 2 butterflies fill in most of the gaps by applying 2 to 3 coats of CG1008 Blue Guppy, apply with an AB704 Round Brush. 
    1. Repeat step 7 with S2724 Lotus Blossom.  
  8. Stilt and fire to cone 06.
