Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust. 
  2. In the middle of the plater place your transfer paper ruff side down and place the pattern of the lobster on top. 
    1. Trace the pattern of the lobster with a pencil, once finished remove the pattern and transfer paper.  
  3. Apply 3 coats of SC073 Candy Apply Red to the main body, claws, the large areas on the tail, and every other part on the smaller arms. Apply with an AB704 Round Brush. 
  4. Apply 3 coats of SC075 Orange a Peel on the top of the head, tenias, and every other part of the lobster that does not have SC073 Candy Apply Red. 
  5. Outline every part of the lobster that has SC073 Candy Apple Red with SG410 Bright Blue Designer Liner.  
    1. Then add a lot of dots of SG410 Bright Blue Designer Liner over top of the SC073 Candy Apply Red.  
  6. Outline every part of the lobster that has SC075 Orange A Peel with SG407 Yellow Designer Liner.  
    1. Then add a lot of dots of SG407 Yellow Designer Liner over top of the SC075 Orange A Peel.  
  7. With a pencil draw a scalloped edge around the border of the platter. Apply 3 coats of SC091 Seabreeze to the scalloped edge and to the back of the plater.  
  8. Apply 2 coats of S2101 Clear to the entire top of the platter. 
  9. Allow to dry and fire to cone 06.
