Wedding Tray

Instructions

Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
Using the soft fan, apply 3 coats of SC086 Old Lace to the front and edges of the tray.
Mix a half ounce of SC003 Wine About It with a pinch of AC310 silkscreen Medium using a palette knife. Set aside to allow the mixture to thicken.
Using your finger, apply the silkscreen medium mixture from step 3 to the long flourish from the Bellfleur silkscreen with light pressure in a circular motion on the lower left corner of the tray. Remove the screen immediately.
Write or trace the names and dates for your project. Using the detail liner, apply 2 coats of SC029 Blue Grass over the text. Or use a detail writer bottle.
Using the detail liner, fill in the flowers with 1 coat of SC029 Blue Grass. Fill in the leaves with 1 coat of SC009. Add a touch of SC029 Blue Grass to some leaves if desired.
Dip the sponge dotter into SC029 Blue Grass and press onto the edge of the tray to create a scalloped border. Go over each dot a second time if you want slightly darker color. Be sure to dab the sponge dotter onto a plate or palette before applying onto the tray to allow for a thinner application.
Dip into clear glaze and fire to cone 06.
