Instructions

Large and Small Vintage Mixing Bowl

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust. Do not oversaturate the bisque with water. 
  2. With a #8 Soft Fan Brush (RB-140) apply 3 coats of SW204 Amber Topaz to the entire inside and outside of the bowl. 
  3. Using a #8 Soft Fan Brush, apply 1 heavy coat of SW189 Cenote to the inside of the bowl, and 2 coats to the outside of the bowl. 
  4. Wipe off excess glaze from the bottom of the piece.  
  5. Do not stilt 
  6. Fire to cone 6 

Medium Vintage Mixing Bowl

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust. Do not oversaturate the bisque with water. 
  2. With masking tape or using a pencil, section off the inside and the outside of the bowl into 2 sections, one side slightly bigger than the other. 
  3. With a #8 Soft Fan Brush (RB-140) apply 3 coats of SW204 Amber Topaz to the entire inside and outside of the bowl on ½ of the bowl. 
  4. Using a #8 Soft Fan Brush, apply 1 heavy coat of SW189 Cenote to the inside of the bowl, and 2 coats to the outside of the bowl on the 2nd section of the bowl. 
  5. Wipe off excess glaze from the bottom of the piece.  
  6. Do not stilt 
  7. Fire to cone 6
