Decorative Stoneware Gloss Vases

Decorative Gloss Curvy Vase 

1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust. Do not oversaturate the bisque with water. 
2. With a #4 Soft Fan Brush (RB144) apply 3 coats of SW515 Aqua Gloss to the top section and the bottom section of outside of the vase. 
3. Using a #4 Soft Fan Brush apply 3 coats of SW 501 White Gloss to the center of the vase. 
4. Glaze the inside of the vase with a #4 fan brush with SW502 Yellow Gloss. 
5. Applying decorative dots with a #4 Liner brush and #0 Detail Brush with the following colors or colors of your choice. These colors can be layered on top of each other, since they are very opaque and will not show through. 
   1. SW501 White Gloss  
   2. SW502 Yellow Gloss 
   3. SW506 Bright Blue Gloss 
   4. SW512 Coral Gloss  
   5. SW514 Sage Gloss 
   6. SW515 Aqua Gloss  
6. These dots can also be applied with a Detail Bottle, sponge on a stick, back of a fan brush or a toothpick. 
7. Wipe off excess glaze from the bottom of the piece.  
8. Do not stilt 
9. Fire to cone 6 

Decorative Gloss Ringed Bud Vase 

1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust. Do not oversaturate the bisque with water. 
2. With a #4 Soft Fan Brush (RB144) apply 3 coats of SW515 Aqua Gloss to the top and inside of the vase 
3. With the Low Tack Masking Tape, section off random stripes, on the body of the vase, from the top to the bottom. 
4. With a #4 Liner brush glaze inside the masked off section with the following colors or color combination of your choice. 
   1. SW502 Yellow Gloss 
   2. SW506 Bright Blue Gloss 
   3. SW510 Blue Gloss 
   4. SW511 Pink Gloss 
   5. SW512 Coral Gloss  
   6. SW514 Sage Gloss 
   7. SW515 Aqua Gloss   
5. Remove tape prior to firing 
6. Wipe off excess glaze from the bottom of the piece.  
7. Do not stilt 
8. Fire to cone 6
