Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
In the middle of the front, back, and spine on the book apply 3 coats of SC086 Old Lace using a sponge on a stick. Do not apply to the edges of the book.
Apply 3 coats of SC054 Vanilla Dip about one to two inches away from the edge of the book with a sponge eon a stick.
Apply 1 coat of SC046 Rawhide to the very edges of the book. Apply with a sponge on q stick.
Apply 3 coats of SC086 Old Lace to the inside and pages of the book. Apply with a CB602 Soft Fan.
Once the outside is dry, apply the Clay Carbon Paper ruff side down then place the pattern over top. Out line the pattern with a pencil, once finished lift the pattern and transfer paper.
Outline the entire design in SG408 Brown Designer Liner, then fill in the words and one of the circles. Apply one coat.
Apply a rim on the front and back with the SG408 Designer Liner then apply two thick lines at the top and bottom of the spine then add 2 thinner lines between the thicker lines. Apply one coat.
Once dry apply 3 coats of CC101 Transparent Crackle to the front, back, spine and inside of the book. Apply with a CB602 Soft Fan.
Fire to cone 06.
Once out of the kiln wait a day to apply OS489 Saddle Brown to the crackle. Place a bit of the paint onto a paper towel and wipe it into all the cracks, then wipe it away.
