Instructions

  1. Wipe tile with a damp sponge to clean.
  2. Apply two coats of FN-009 with a soft fan brush over the whole tile and allow to dry.
  3. Place pattern on tile and trace with a pencil. The design will be pressed into the soft glaze.
  4. Remove pattern and touch up any spots with FN-009 wherever the tracing went too deep and revealed the bisque.
  5. Wet the liner brush and coat in a little dish soap to protect the hairs.
  6. Pour a little wax resist onto the pallet and trace the pattern with the wax resist using the liner brush.
  7. Block out the larger areas of black with wax as noted on the pattern.
  8. Using the Script liner brush, begin with EL-101 Oyster shell and fill in the hats and shirts. 3 coats allowed to dry between
  9. Using the Script Liner brush, fill in the background, foreground, and buckwheat sheeves with EL-132. 3 coats allowed to dry in between.
  10. Using the Script Liner brush, place two coats of EL-125 on the men’s hats.
  11. When the layers of step 2 are dry, go over the front buckwheat sheaves and background with three coats of EL-133 to bring out some brighter tones.
  12. Allow to dry.
  13. Stilt and fire to cone 06.
