Instructions

Curly Mushroom

  1. Wipe down bisque with a damp sponge to remove any dust.
  2. Using a fan brush, apply two coats of FN060 to the stem and allow to dry.
  3. Apply one coat of FN059 over the two coats of FN060 and allow to dry.
  4. Using a toothpick, sgraffito swirls onto the stem by pressing the toothpick down only hard enough to show the underlying color.
  5. Apply three coats of FN055 to the gills of the mushroom with a script liner brush.
  6. Apply three coats of FN058 to the cap of the mushroom with the fan brush. Allow to dry between coats.
  7. Using a script liner brush, apply one coat of FN057 into the crevice lines of the cap.
  8. Allow glaze to dry.
  9. Stilt and fire to cone 06.

Ribbed Mushroom

  1. Wipe down bisque with a damp sponge to remove any dust.
  2. Using a fan brush, apply two coats of FN060 to the stem.
  3. Using a damp sponge, wipe back the FN060 so it only sits in the crevices of the stem.
  4. Using a fan brush, apply approximately two coats of FN059 to the stem using a dry brush technique.
  5. Apply three coats of FN058 to the gills of the mushroom with a fan brush, allowing glaze to dry between coats.
  6. Using a fan brush, apply three coats of FN057 to the cap of the mushroom. Allow to dry.
  7. Using a fan brush, apply two coats of FN055 allow to dry only until the shine is gone.
  8. Using a toothpick, lightly sgraffito a repeating circle design onto the cap, pressing only hard enough to reveal the color below.
  9. Scratch out the inner portion of each circle leaving behind a ring design.
  10. Allow to fully dry.
  11. Stilt and fire to cone 06.

Dotted Mushroom

  1. Wipe down bisque with a damp sponge to remove any dust.
  2. Using a fan brush, apply three coats of FN060 to the upper part of the stem and allow to dry.
  3. Using a fan brush, apply three coats of FN059 to the lower half of the stem and allow to dry.
  4. Using a script liner brush, apply two coats of FN056 to the gills under the cap.
  5. Apply 4 coats of FN055 to the whole top of the mushroom with a fan brush.
  6. Using a script liner brush, apply 3 coats of FN058 to the dots allowing the glaze to dry between coats
  7. Allow to dry.
  8. Stilt and fire to cone 06.
