Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired cone 04 stoneware bisque. Moisten a sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Blend together 2 coats of UG-93 Wild Violet and UG-217 Red Coral to create a gradient.
  3. Allow to dry completely.
  4. Draw or transfer design onto the piece.
  5. Use SG-402 White Designer Liner to the design.
  6. Apply 3 coats of SW-111 Wrought Iron to the rim and bottom of the piece. Allow the glaze to dry in between coats and avoid glazing the foot.
  7. To make this project Dinnerware Safe, apply SW-001 Stoneware Clear to the face of the plate.
  8. Use a damp sponge to wipe away any glaze that may have gotten on the foot.
  9. Fire to cone 5/6. The sample was fired to cone 6.

This project is not dinnerware safe due to the Magma glazes. For decorative use only.
