Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 Bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Using a water-based marker laid flat against the table, draw a line around the bottom of the piece. This is the “no paint line.”
  3. Attach detailer cap to the Stroke & Coat Bottles and apply SC-33 Fruit of the Vine in two rows of offset petal designs.
  4. Apply a dot of SC-29 Blue Grass inside each petal. Allow to dry completely. Don’t worry if the glaze runs or smudges.
  5. Apply three coats of SW-143 Abalone to the inside of the bowl.
  6. Apply three coats of SW-212 Peacock to the outside of the bowl.
  7. Use the sponge to remove any glaze that may have gotten below the “no paint line.”
  8. Fire to cone 6 on a kiln washed shelf.
